NEW DELHI: Rohit Sharma's stellar performance of 70 runs off 46 balls led Mumbai Indians to their fourth consecutive victory, defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad by seven wickets in Hyderabad on Wednesday. The former captain's return to form has helped Mumbai Indians climb to third position in the IPL 2025 points table with 10 points from nine matches.
Rohit's innings, featuring eight boundaries and three sixes, efficiently chased down the target of 144 runs. His performance earned him the Dressing Room Batting Award, presented by teammate Suryakumar Yadav .

"Let's keep doing what we've been doing consistently. I spoke in the huddle before the start of the play that we need to be doing things consistently, and today was another good example of that. Let's just carry that," Rohit addressed the team in the dressing room.
The 37-year-old opener has shown remarkable improvement in his recent performances. After struggling with just 82 runs in his first six games at an average of 13.7, he has bounced back with consecutive half-centuries - 76 not out against CSK and 70 against SRH.
This is the first time since 2016 that Rohit has scored back-to-back IPL fifties. His previous consecutive half-centuries came against Kolkata Knight Riders and Rising Pune Supergiants.
During this innings, Rohit surpassed Kieron Pollard to become Mumbai Indians' highest six-hitter. His current season statistics show 228 runs from eight games, averaging 32.57 with a strike rate of 154.05.
"Back-to-back 50s. Dressing Room Batting Award. Rohit Sharma hit them all around the ground, and we absolutely loved it," the franchise shared on social media.
Mumbai Indians now share 10 points with Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Punjab Kings, and Lucknow Super Giants. However, under Hardik Pandya 's leadership, Mumbai Indians lead the group with a superior Net Run Rate.
